Issue 8 of the zine is here!

A hand holds a small zine, printed and folded from white paper. The cover shows a cartoon-style image of a man in glasses looking closely at a book, his finger pointing at the page. Title: HEART HAIKU. Written in semaphore flags (with the letters printed alongside) the words "medical terminology" are spelled out, followed by the word "and" in ordinary text, then the word "communication" in Morse code with translation underneath. In digital-clock style writing are the words, "Issue 8: July 2021."

If you contributed to Issue 8 of Heart Haiku, please know there will always be a special place for you in my heart – thank you, thank you, and thank you again! Medical Terminology and Communication… Wow, that was a tough topic, huh? All that said, however, I think the finished product is great. I don’t know about you, but I certainly had to think pretty deeply in order to come up with anything and maybe that’s no bad thing?

Here’s a wee video of the zine, printed and folded.

As ever, you can download your own FREE copy to print at home by heading to the Creative Resources page and clicking on the relevant cover image.

Should we let a Twitter vote decide the theme again next month? I’m not sure (ha!) but you’d better suggest some topics in the comments if you want to avoid being held to the whims of those Twitter users again! 🙂
